Zig by Ben Wahrlich

Ben Wahrlich’s Zig range was inspired by the drawings that he uses in his work as an Industrial Designer.

“Hatching, is used in two-dimensional drawings to illustrate the parts of a product” he says. "The Zig range adopts this technique by illustrating the moving components, by hatching the timber fronts in different directions. This gives the range a strong aesthetic quality and unique personality".

The fluted panels are made with American Oak and feature touch-open hardware to keep the front clean and minimal. Whilst the shell features a bespoke concrete 'Slate' coating with subtle 'Lunar' texture made possible with Axolotl's specialist techniques. Each item is hand made and the natural material selection ensures individuality and uniqueness between pieces.

The complete range consists of a Side Table, Chest, Tall Boy, Entertainment Unit and Credenza. All items are made to order with a six week lead time.
