Diabolic is a 2025 horror genre feature film directed by Daniel J. Phillips, positioned for national and international release within the global film market. The project represents a significant undertaking within Australian independent cinema, combining festival premieres, theatrical releases, and international distribution ambitions. Developed and executed to compete on a global stage, Diabolic required a brand presence and promotional strategy capable of standing alongside established international genre titles.
The Project
From the outset, Diabolic was conceived as a premium, market-ready feature film with strong festival appeal. After being selected for Adelaide Film Festival Goes to Cannes showcase as part of the Marché du Film Festival de Cannes 2025, the film premiered at major Australian genre and film festivals, including Monster Fest and the Adelaide Film Festival, placing it in front of large, highly engaged cinema audiences and industry stakeholders. With ticket sales and awareness critical to festival success, the film required clear positioning, striking visual identity, and performance-driven digital promotion.
Our Role
Anomaly partnered on the creative and promotional execution of Diabolic, delivering brand and paid media support to drive awareness and attendance.
Branding
We developed the visual branding for Diabolic, crafting a bold and cinematic identity designed to resonate with horror genre audiences and stand out across festival programs, digital platforms, and promotional materials.
Paid Meta Campaigns
Anomaly planned and executed targeted paid Meta campaigns to promote Diabolic screenings at Monster Fest and the Australian Premiere at Adelaide Film Festival. Campaigns were designed to drive ticket sales, increase awareness, and reach highly relevant horror and film-enthusiast audiences at scale.

Anomaly’s work helped position Diabolic as a serious, high-quality feature film within the Australian and international festival circuit. Through strong branding and strategic paid promotion, the film achieved heightened visibility during key festival windows, supporting ticket sales and reinforcing its presence as a standout independent production.
